Young was the senior Oracle DBA at Health NZ (Te Whatu Ora). He had full access to the national pay-per-dose vaccination database during the rollout. What he saw stopped him cold: clusters of deaths — 20, 50, over 100 at once — tied to specific vaccination sites and dates. All age groups.

His analysis, reviewed by epidemiologists and statisticians: 60% higher mortality in vaccinated vs unvaccinated based on the records he managed directly. Odds of 100 billion to one that the vaccine wasn't causing the observed signals. He couldn't prove causation — but the data was undeniable.

He did the right thing. Made a Protected Disclosure to Health NZ's executive leadership — the proper legal channel. They buried it. Denied receiving it. He had to file multiple OIA requests just to prove his email had reached their desks.

For speaking up: raided, arrested, dragged through nearly two years of legal warfare. Now facing 7 years in prison. The Crown paid an IT company $500K+ to investigate him — a company never contractually engaged as an expert witness. The prosecution used it anyway.

His lawyer Ken Nicolson calls this a global test of transparency for the Commonwealth. If they silence him, every government gets a blueprint. Only 'approved experts' get to interpret public health data — not the technicians who actually build and manage the systems.
