What is it that you don't love? I find it hard to search for old notes and tag users in notes. I feel like I miss a lot of stuff because notes are boosted enough but at the same time, notes are often boosted in clusters close to the time of publishing rather than spread out. It's almost overwhelming all the different potential with all the clients. I have pretty much stuck with just amethyst for now so maybe there are solutions to my problems that just aren't available in amethyst.

Can you give some examples of what's incomplete in clients? Have you tried #Snort? What's missing? I don't see any "serious spam issue" on #Nostr. Twitter on the other hand, is non-stop bots commenting on every post, non-stop spamming your DMs, and non-stop tagging notifications from scammers. Rest of the issues you mentioned are valid tho.
I can agree on the difference in spam... Not to mention every other tweet seems like an add now. Maybe the experience is better if you kyc and pay. However here, I get almost zero spam, no adds, and much better engagement. Not to mention, I get mad props with zaps. @Seth For Privacy your overall mission sounds different than mine, trying to find those who seek better privacy and lead the way. I'm trying to find all the Bitcoiners and create a unified and resilient culture around Bitcoin. Nostr is definitely the place to be investing time in building cultural capital because it is free and open. A true commons for free exchange of information.
Depends on the client you're using. For example, on #Snort, blocking a user will stop his notifications, while on #noStrudel you must use the mute option (it's unclear to me why we have both "blocking" and "mute" features and not just one).
That was on Snort, posts are blocked but not the notification which allows the spammer to somewhat bypass the block.
This list just makes me feel tired. I don't think this qualifies as a dissenting opinion, it's just a list of what needs to be improved on nostr. Most/all devs are aware of these issues, and lots is in progress on all fronts. Except for reach, reach is fantastic. It may be lower for you because you have a big audience on Twitter, but normal people actually get some engagement here rather than it being vacuumed up by farmers.
