A little primer for you on data: Public data- is data that you allow to be known by untrusted parties. Private data- is data you allow to be known by only trusted parties. Secret data- is data you allow to only be known by yourself. A transaction with a merchant is in the "public" sphere of data. I was not implying that every transaction is put in the newspaper and pushed onto people's Twitter feeds or something.

when I make a transaction, my transaction counterparty knows I need what he is selling and have money to pay for it. that is the data I am "allowing to be known by untrusted parties." so your study for the day is to look up the word "public." because that isn't what it means. using money is a PRIVATE intercourse. I decide who I interact with and what data to reveal in the process. your attitude that is *public by nature* is modern state-sponsored disinformation.
