From my limited understanding, I believe one of the issues is legacy wallets from the early days will be the first to be cracked. Eventually current wallet encryption methods will not be quantum proof and these users will need to move their coins to newer quantum proof encrypted wallets. I’m curious as to where this stands.
I love how early mined Bitcoin addresses are a bounty for improvement of cryptography
