Meta hit with its BIGGEST FINE EVER → A fine bigger than some countries GDP! 🤯 A judge in New Mexico has ordered Zuck's Meta to pay $25 BILLION after a trial found it had lied to the public about how user data was handled. This is very positive news, and it's great to see that New Mexico is holding Big Tech accountable. 💪👏

This fine means nothing. They'll pay it, it goes into the State's coffers, and it's back to business as usual. The people, who are the victims in all of this, get nothing.

they'll get 20 years to pay the penalty in inflated pesos/dollars all while buying off new politicians to reverse the decision.

Fines for big tech are just a tax on growth, not a fix. Real sovereignty requires moving data off centralized servers entirely. If you can 4x your data, it's not private.
