They don’t “deserve to die”. It’s difficult for the western mind to comprehend what belief in martyrdom actually means, but it is the reason that suicide bombers are almost always of the same religion. Christians don’t do that, generally. Hamas, and their Iranian jihadist backers, engineered Gaza to maximize the number of martyrs after they started the war with Israel. It is why, when Israel warns the Palestinians to leave an area before bombing, Hamas shoots at them. It is why they hide under playgrounds, hospitals, and schools. When they say, “we love death more than you love life”, they mean it. They know that when Israel attacks, and civilians die, they win on two fronts: more martyrs in paradise (which is much better than this world), and they can use the death and destruction as a PR tool in their sympathy campaign to raise money and turn the world against Israel, gain power and influence, and spread their awful religion. What would you do, to fight an enemy that wants to die, wants it’s people to die, and wants to rape, torture, and kill you and all of your countrymen? What would your solution to jihadism be, if you were surrounded by them, taking rocket attacks and suicide bombers, as Israel is?
