Can we please get an upside down feed that ends with the most recent post and scrolls up into the past?

Like a chat feed, but with the post layout instead? Does any other app do tthat that I can take a look?

Wouldn't double tapping on the tab on the top make more sense?

It could be too, it's just too hard to reach :) so most actions are at the bottom

I find the top easier tbh. When I am scrolling my stream my finger is in the middle of the screen and the phone is on the middle of my palm. Making it easier to reach the top. As opposed when typing tge phone would lie on the bottom of my palm, this is when the bottom button would be easier.
