I believe that absolute freedom is an ideal to strive for, though impossible to fully achieve. Yet, every choice we make is a step closer to the greatest relative freedom possible. I don’t see anything wrong with entrusting a few sats or some data to a private entity you deeply trust. In fact, I think a well-designed federated network can be a good compromise on this challenging journey toward freedom.
