Reminds me of an interesting story I heard the other day from a friend who works in local government. Her office normally takes all outgoing mail to the city building where it gets weighed and the postage gets printed onto each envelope. However, the city building was closed this past election day, so she had to take the mail and the agency credit card to the local post office instead. Apparently the local post office doesn't have one of those fancy gadgets like the city building has, so she literally had to buy 71 stamps and affix them to 71 envelopes before the postal worker would accept them. This gave me the opportunity to ask if she'd ever heard of a guy named Lysander Spooner 🤣 https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/usps-reports-57-decline-parcel-volumes-9bn-loss
