Thinking about using my real name for social media, including this account. Because I'm starting a public project, with my real face, and videos, and hardware, and don't want the mental overhead of hiding behind a pseudonym and vetting every post for identifying info. (May be related to my trace amounts of autism, lying or anything like it is extremely taxing. Not that I think pseudonyms are wrong, just that they require juggling multiple identities, similar to managing multiple realities when one has decided to lie about something). But, I'm also a privacy advocate and use a de-googled phone, encrypted email, VPN, etc. So it's against my knee-jerk tendency to maximize privacy. Good idea or not? #asknostr

Why not use the company name? That way you solidify the brand without compromising privacy (to a certain degree)
With our broken web, it might not have any SEO benefit anymore, though with JSON-dl ect you can feed knowledge graphs in google ect ( e.g author tags ) I do believe there's some power in a real identity. Call to authority 🤷‍♂️

You can always make another nym Ask yourself these 2 questions first: 1. Is there anything you've posted under the nym that you don't want associated with your real name? 2. Is your current account’s network strong enough to be worth keeping, rather than starting fresh under your real name?
May u can Change ur perspective: Don't see it as a lying thing, just as an invention in an brand if u would like to use an nym.
