So I've found this weird quirk about productivity and myself, when I have a few things to do during the day, I barely get anything done.
But when im filled up to my neck on tasks, magically all those tasks get completed.

Parkinsons is definitely at play, I think a tight schedule leaves me lesser time to procrastinate, which creates time to finish my tasks.
An old adage "if you want something done, give it to a busy man"
