I have friends who were so intimidated by self custody that they never even unboxed their Trezors without being nudged repeatedly.

Sounds like they have difficulty learning new things. I look at this setup as the most robust basic setup for secure self sovereign interaction on the network. A phone, a node, a laptop and backups. Won't be dissapointed with this gear.
