Got my AP running without a USB wifi adapter.
Set a static IP
Running a DHCP server
Can connect with my phone. Seems to be going well.

Wow, the wifi driver on the Raspberry Pi 4 is really fighting me in setting up a wifi access point. 😠
I don't want to have to cave and add another WiFi interface or a tiny router, but it might come to that...
