Apple’s VideoToolbox API is actually amazing at reducing size while maintaining perceptual quality. It is a major PITA to work with, but if you get it right it just works. Coming in the next NBS TF that I am polishing now. This video was reduced to almost 50% of the original which was already highly optimized.
