A few people in my life still use it (and it shows)
They were the only ones in my real life that said CK was a terrible person and pretty much deserved to die. They cite NYT opinion articles as authoritative sources- smdh
My condolences for your loss. Look into Eglin Air Force Base for an example of government in Reddit. I think everyone has their bots there.
Oh I remember when that user location data leaked to the govt sock puppet accounts. And that was early days. The amount of bots manufacturing consent and "reality" are probably off the charts now.
The behavioral studies that were done without anyones knowledge in the 'change my mind' subreddit surfacing was also pretty damning
Yeah good example. There’s a massive incentive to influence the sense making apparatus: AI, search engines, Reddit, social media. I certainly would if I were in charge. It’s basically marketing, which belies the entire internet.
TikTok allowed too many unorthodox opinions to thrive so they’re taking it over.
100%. I finally had the obvious realization the other day that every study of behavior, nudging and psychology funded by government entities has been used against its citizenry (and not for their benefit)
How naive of me
If you’re poor, you consume. If you’re middle class, you invest. If you’re rich, you influence. If you’re really rich, you buy science. 😂
