I think this is slightly touching on some concepts of The Image by Daniel Boorstin and his concept of the "pseudo event", but takes it a lot farther. I do not understand the use of the word "capitalism" here. I think that has a definition of its own and I think it muddles her point. It's not about capitalism, it's about technology and how it changes how we think and communicate.

(Interesting insight 🤝😁) Capitalism is not a random label here, Prisoner24601: "capitalism selects which messages survive and scale, if attention, outrage, and novelty monetize better than accuracy, then the system will produce 1) more pseudo-events, 2) more spectacle, 3) more narrative packaging regardless of the technology used...🤔 (*) Technology changes speed and reach, but capitalism decides what gets optimized 🔎.
