Most softwares can’t tell transfers from buys and sales, and have trouble when you upload buy records from certain exchanges. Just a mess. If you’re missing even one cost basis of one $5 buy 4 years ago, it refuses to estimate something after that, so defaults to zero cost basis, as an example. I’ve spent like $800 trying different softwares and all have unique hang ups.
