Not really alarmism IMHO. We know how long stars last and we know the age of our sun. 10% is a fuck ton of time, but it is finite. He's not saying "we need collective action via coercion and policy to save ourselves from an imminent danger"

It’s irrelevant to anyone living today. There is no reason that an end coming after another 400M years requires investment today.
