Maybe. Part of the reason they didnt catch on is because of Facebook and Twitter. People were discouraged from leaving their social app and outside content was generally punished by algorithms. There was a period of time where I was hearing "blogging is dead". It never was, but it became less popular. Now a lot of blogs I used to follow are Substacks.
