Sancti is a balance. We are to live in the word but not be part of it. You can take it to an extreme and become a desert monk but that's not for most people. Most people just need to work on the cardinal virtues, prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance.

I recently heard something about "God Blesses us sometimes for our pleasure and other times God Blesses us so we can bless others." It has helped me reframe from worldly gluttony to deset monk to somewhere in the middle where I ask if this is to bless others.
