During World War II, young Cleopa was nearly executed. Accused of desertion while briefly away getting supplies for his fellow soldiers, he faced a firing squad. Just as the order to fire was given, a high-ranking officer arrived with a pardon. Cleopa attributed his miraculous escape to the prayers of his spiritual father, who had foreseen the danger and interceded on his behalf. From that day on, Cleopa dedicated his life to serving God, becoming a beacon of faith and a spiritual guide to countless souls.
