What should I read/watch etc. to understand it better?
-Comb through Jonathan Pageau's older stuff, you can find him on YouTube @ The Symbolic World. Similarly, Seraphim Hamilton has some excellent videos on the topic as well.
- A podcast titled "Lord of Spirits" is a great place to go for anything Old Testament related. Just know that a typical episode is ~3hrs.
- A few books to consider: Hymns on Paradise by St Ephraim the Syrian, Life of Moses by St Gregory of Nyssa, and Genesis, Creation, and Early Man by Fr. Seraphim Rose.
The Whole Council of God podcast I believe has a bunch of episodes on Genesis.
