Growing your own food is like printing your own money.
(Not my quote, but I always liked the idea.)
Well. I planted 400 hills of potatoes this spring, and about 85% are growing beautifully. In about a month I need to DIG about a pickup box of spuds… that’s going to be a workout..
Hopefully the corn actually produces.
Got a bunch of Roma tomatoes producing so, will need to be making sauce and canning it.
Beans will need to be canned..
Peas keep getting picked and shelled & frozen.
I’ve got a pumpkin and some squash that’ll need to be dealt with.
By then my rhubarb will need to be picked again.
Not to mention multiple other herbs n veggies in containers that are just small amounts for seasonings, that’ll all need to be picked, dried and powdered.
I’ve got a busy few months ahead…
Well done!
Will go take a couple photos in a min here after lunch.
Main Garden.
- Pumpkins & Squash, Potatoes. Beans & Peas. (Other side of corn row)
- Way, too many weeds. (Which reminds me, I’m going to need to get rid of the Canadian Thistles before they go to seed… grrr)
& it all needs water again *sigh*

Oops, thought I posted the reply here. But put it on my main feed.
