Taking your car into a "certified mechanic" is recurring revenue. That's the point
Everyone is incompetent these days. When great power is possible without the need for discipline, you get mass incompetency.
1. Regulations.
2. Computers.
3. Engineers who have only ever designed things with computers.
Maybe cause the money is made in the credit and people don't buy outright. The credit becomes the product, the car is secondary
I blame over regulation.
