Liquid is multisig to begin with... The point is they're transparent with the security model unlike Ethereum which pretends it's something it really isn't in practice.
(Also, IIRC those backups aren't actually accessible by Blockstream without the functionary giving it to them - they're encrypted so the functionary can't use it alone: it functions as an effective 2-of-2)

Thank you for commenting. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I didn't say how easy or difficult to access the backdoor. I said there is a backdoor. What you told me doesn't mean that Liquid doesn't have a backdoor. Can you say that there is no backdoor on Liquid?
Furthermore, the point is that because of this, liquid will repeat the history of gold that we saw with EO6102. Eventually, it will become a fiat money that we saw in 1971.
Another question is, where is that encryption key?
I have a lot of respect for Luke, that certainly puts me at ease about the liquid network.
Since our chat, I've been reading about liquid to deepen the knowledge, @Luke Dashjr do you particularly use liquid?
No, I don't
I'm not really sure it fills any interesting use cases
But it's also not an outright scam like some altcoin stuff
You don’t think the confidential transactions are an interesting use case?
That's a feature, not a use case
Says the guy blocking tx0 transaction, while pretending to filter ordinals 🤡
