Personally, I definitely prefer long notes over threads to read. What's the benefit of having this content in a thread? Is there some engagement on the child notes that couldn't be done on the parent note otherwise? Maybe some Nostriches do not engage easy with long notes? Anyway, a thread initially was just a workaround required in legacy social media due to character limitations and the way algos worked. Although, I might see the benefit if there is additional engagement triggerd on the child notes.
