DiVine will capture some
I highly doubt it.
Unless they stop trying to be vine. Tiktoks and youtube shorts arent 6 seconds long. Nobody will go back.
I know I’m not interested.
And the algorithm thing.. People use tiktok and youtube specifically *because* of their algorithms. Bragging about not having one like diVine does is braindead out of touch marketing.
DiVine will capture existing nostr millenials. Maybe like a dozen zoomers from other apps. The founder of vine already tried this with Byte. Copying a failed project and slapping nostr onto it isnt a very good idea. Of course its not work wasted if they just ditch that retarded 6 second shit. That will kill the project. But maybe I’m out of touch.
As a Zoomer, I agree. Sometimes I use Instagram on my iPad simply to watch some reels for entertainment. For this purpose, algorithms are crucial to keep users on the app.
Divine is an interesting project but not something I’d use daily.
Pfft. No.
The brainrotted younglings aren't building and curious about building anything, generally, since they are addicted to whatever slop is served up to them.
Nostr has a very bright future, but I think it will be for the opposite end of the spectrum and find success in circles that value the massive interoperability and permisionless nature of the protocol.
It would be like scrolling the olas shorts feed
