Just had my daily driver laptop (Chromebook Plus) crap out on me. Pretty disappointed, less than 2 years on it... Sooo now taking the plunge to Desktop Linux! Wish me luck, I hope I can still use my printer ππ«¨

I eventually got my Canon printer running on Fedora. It was a headache though
Check out system 76. I've heard good things.
Yeah was thinking of just going with Ubuntu... Really want to rely on whatever's most popular and therefore has the most support. Tough enough being on ChromeOS which is supportef by an actual company, albeit "barely"...
Is that "PopOS"? I'm probably just getting a miniPC and flashing a Linux OS into it
Linux truly is superior to everything else
Yes they customize their hardware for it.
Haha - I remember the pain of printer drivers when I ran Linux many years ago. Hopefully itβs much better these days.
Linux Mint is awesome!
I haven't had a problem with printers from linux in years. So it is a good bet. Start with something beginner friendly like Linux Mint.
