Just had my daily driver laptop (Chromebook Plus) crap out on me. Pretty disappointed, less than 2 years on it... Sooo now taking the plunge to Desktop Linux! Wish me luck, I hope I can still use my printer πŸ˜†πŸ«¨

Yeah was thinking of just going with Ubuntu... Really want to rely on whatever's most popular and therefore has the most support. Tough enough being on ChromeOS which is supportef by an actual company, albeit "barely"...
Haha - I remember the pain of printer drivers when I ran Linux many years ago. Hopefully it’s much better these days.
I haven't had a problem with printers from linux in years. So it is a good bet. Start with something beginner friendly like Linux Mint.
