The people are dumb and confused or maybe people are waking up to the insane surveillance tracking and manipulateion that can be done on these devices.

if AI acted more than it asked for, everyone would probably have easily accepted it, but since they are seeing that they force you to buy a new PC while they spend their time raising the prices of RAM, SSD and try to make the one you already have obsolete, That was what made many go from being addicted to AI to hating it for everything it demands.
