100%. Tell them to buy in a year. But if we can beat inflation (2021 ATH now 83k), we can not pitch the store of value argument to new entrants. That’s a dangerous angle.

That's measuring from an ATH to a dip. It doesn't mean it won't go up again. Dollars won't. It's still scarce, still movable, still able to be held in self-custody.
Store of value isn't just about exchange rate or purchasing power on a given day. It's also about funds you can hold and move without permission, without widespread or targeted confiscation at the flip of a switch.
I'm sure you know all that. But my message to newbies isn't much about NGU. That's just a bonus. It's about sound money, even if that's a harder concept to get across. It's not a stock. It's money. I tell them I'd be happy to see it plummet, so we can buy more.
But, you make a good point. If all we're sharing is that it always goes up, they'll be unprepared when it doesn't.
