No Presidents are good men, they shouldn’t be put on pedestals, and they shouldn’t be looked to by children as more than just another human being with an inordinate amount of power that is more often than not used for evil. We should be teaching children that goverment is coercive and individuals / families / friends and those in our community are the people that should be looked up to. The public school system largely uses propoganda to put goverment officials on pedestals, reinforcing the wrong message that government officials are a moral North Star. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
