Installed the app today (from Portugal ๐ต๐น) and here are my first impressions and a bit of feedback:
โ Installation on android was smooth, no more 'not available in your country' messages. (finally!)
โ Enrollment via the Persona KYC system was fast, just needed an ID and proof of address (utility bill) and I was verified in minutes. Possibly because they already had my data from another service that uses the same system. ๐
โ Sent some lightning payments to my Strike wallet... Easy peasy! Strike will be my goto wallet for LN from now on. (sorry breez, Alby, and Wallet of Satoshi)โก
โ Adding bank accounts is super easy to do. I've transferred some fiat to my account but expect it to arrive tomorrow or the day after. ๐
โ No shitcoin distractions in the app make it refreshing and easy to use, unlike the ๐ฉ casino ๐ฐ vibe you get at most exchanges. Finally an app I can recommend to new bitcoin users without fear that they will buy the 'new coin' or 'fast mover' bs exchanges love to push.
โ Updated my lightning adress on Nostr to martijnw@strike.me so everyone can see how cool ๐ I am now. ๐
โ Suggestion for improvement. It would be nice to specify LN payments in sats instead of just BTC (by tapping on it maybe?) as most LN transactions are in sats, not BTC.
โ Not too excited about the current withdrawal levels that max out at 25k Euro per few days. We're talking Lambos and private jet flights here so some users will really need at least 100x that 25k limit. (asking for a friend) An option to verify to a higher tier like most exchanges have is something I would really like to see in the app.
Overal the Strike Europe ๐ช๐บ app gave me a much better than expected user experience and wanted to congratulate to the dev team on a job well done! ๐ Obrigado Jack!
Maybe not europe, but what about Surinam in South America. Country is 5 times the size of the Netherlands, only 600k people to Orange pill, inflation is similar to lebanon and egypt. Any plans to launch there?
