Honestly all the AI apocalypse is pushed by stakeholders in biggest AI companies, it is all a spiel either to capture the market via regulation, for our safety, or to boost their stock value through this hype. It is not that different to how climate research has been captured by doomsayers.

You'll need a healthy hearth to be able to outrun all the evil robots chasing you down the street in few years.
