So far, I haven't really spotted any downsides or deal breakers. Everything's been working great up to now. Except for one or two little apps that are just poorly coded, and I can totally do without them anyway. But instead, there's a ton of advantages.

The transition was super easy and pretty quick. Even for someone like me, who's bricked a phone before while flashing it. You can follow this video here. It's eight months old, but everything still works exactly the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zo9qHqTDcgM You can't do it with just any phone though. I just grabbed a new phone and jumped in blind. These are the phones that are supported right now: https://grapheneos.org/build#build-targets

Who are the others? And by the way, you can still use the Google Play Store and all the apps in it. Log in anonymously, and you gotta put the sketchy apps into their own silo using secondary profiles. For work reasons, I still have WhatsApp on mine, for example, but if you properly isolate it from the rest of the system, I don't see any issues with that. It's nicely explained here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zo9qHqTDcgM

After we finish our current tasks, we’ll roll out NWC support, making Keychat a front-end wallet for Lightning nodes. The wait shouldn’t be long.
