In the past month...
β
Refactored Nosflare to be the most resilient, horizontally scalable Nostr relay.
β
Completed true interop with bitchat on Nym, a real decentralized, censorship-resistant messenger that can be loaded locally and never shutdown or banned.
Gonna spend the rest of this month working on new features and squashing bugs on Plebs, a truly decentralized, censorship-resistant YouTube/Vimeo/Rumble alternative that can also run locally and never be shutdown or banned.
Then, going into the new year, I think I am going to take an extended hiatus from building on Nostr. It has been over 2yrs of grinding, thankless work and I'm a bit burnt out. All of the projects will remain in maintenance mode and I will still review PRs.
I just need to expend such time/energy/resources elsewhere and touch grass more.

so much talent wasted on inane projects
Thank you for all the great work youβve done!
Don't mind the axiom they have no positivity in them at all, just complaints and negativity π
It will be a well deserved break.
An idea I had for plebs, but forgot to ask you about it. Blossom servers have a 100mb limit. Would it be possible to divide the videos into chunks, and then reassemble them in the player? Basically a playlist of 100mb files that would play as the full video?
Itβs probably doable. It would likely add some degradation in loading speed with the extra overhead. The plan @hzrd149 has for improved hash lookup would be greatly beneficial for this
you write good code, but should partner with someone with less useless ideas or be more humble
Huh? What am I not humble about? Iβm literally just building FOSS platforms and making no money lol.
just reread the message and decide if the tone is humble
"I'm so magnanimous I'm building the greatest things and not even getting any money"
