But yes, "worship of the uniform" is pretty gross. Government workers should be civil servants, not held on some pedestal just because they have a metal star on their chest.

I don’t even like that term servant. Who would ever put someone else’s needs before their own? Aside from maybe a family member, it doesn’t make sense
My servants disappoint me. The quality of their work is despicable.
You are spot on that more people should be thinking of government workers as the servants they signed up to be. A change in perception leads to a change in attitude and behavior, right?
