I am Russian. You will laugh, but in Russia users idolize Telegram, they protect Telegram, and now they are trying to bypass the blocking of Telegram. Very very few users use Bitchat. 99.9% don't know about Nostr.

I think in Russia there are many different tribes. Russia is also one of the main places for Tor usage :) I was surprised to see an active organic community of people on bitchat. Something I haven't seen in Scandinavia for sure.
Thank you. Yes, there are 26 active RN. I like to be pre-connected to geohash location before I need them. Right now in America, it looks like the California chat is the most active, usually. All of the active chats show up as anon, where yours are all specific addresses. I wonder do I beed to follow them for their address to read (mine is tor routed)? image

That's where I'm very confused. On iOS there is a "contacts" button you can see. On Android you can bookmark the geohash room. Looking between different devices I see different content in the same geohash. On Android I personally couldn't find where the people I favorited are stored. I'm going back home tomorrow night and hope to delve deeper into the bitchat code to understand these things myself
I did bookmark it (geohash) and can find it (on iOS) but I, too, am confused why I do not see nym/address as it shows in other chat rooms on Bitchat. I see a lot of Tor text lines here where they are not visible on other chat geohash channels. It is prolly something I forgot to click. I am not on Bitchat much at all (compared to #nostr), but I want to be conversant with it just in case “they” drop the bomb.
Yes. Just trying to get comfortable with it before I *need* it. All Leningrad are anon, but other chats will only have a few anon mixed with the nym addresses. It looks as if you’re Danish by your flag, if I am not mistaken. One day we hope to see that beautiful country. My father said our name is of Danish derivation, after a genealogy search, so I became fascinated with the Danes. What I learned, I loved.
