Why not give ‘em this info if you want? Is it necessary for companies to have ever needed this information from anyone?

You’re being rate limited then. Those restrictions get worse over time, never better. Good on you for not giving in yet though! I made the assumption you were a blue check and I had no way to verify. Still, many users DO give up personal information by design, especially big accounts. Why would you want to give energy to that system?
