I'm not taking health advice from someone who is unhealthy I'm not taking financial advice from someone who is broke I'm not taking marriage advice from someone who is divorced I'm not taking life advice from someone who is unhappy. Your degree does not change my mind.

The idea that another person can understand someone’s needs / wants / constraints / feelings / life situation and give adequate advice is so off-base. The only person truly qualified to give an individual well-considered advice is them.
