You have an independent mind and body, no one can take that away from you - you were born that way.
On that premise, what you create or earn is yours, and if it is within a society, it should be protected by society from others that might steal it.
Hence property is an inalienable human right, recognised by civilised society.

People can and do take it from others regularly though. Property isn't inalienable - right? People's lives and property are constantly alienated and exploited by others, I hate it personally, but what makes it "wrong"? Or what makes it a right in the first place?
