It's also a good reminder that a third-party node provider can still rug you for various amounts of reasons. They might make it easy to play around with lightning and node hosting, but at the end of the day, if their servers go out or their data center goes down or something, you no longer have access to your node or sats until their services are back up.
The same issues can of course happen if you're hosting the node in your home but at least that box is under your control and you have more options for recovery if the server goes down.
