I lost respect for them because after interacting with many, attending meetups, conferences, and markets. I realized they were solely focused on taking my corn and making it theirs. I was also kind of shocked with how closed off, cliquey, and prejudice many were.
I made friends with a semi-bitcoiner expat and she was surprised to know I’m a maxi because she believed the bitcoiners were all bigots and racist. I reminded her some not all but still … the energy of some of the folks is just nasty. For Bitcoin to be a tool for enemies I can’t respect people who moved to a third world country to make corn off tourists and throw pennies at housekeepers and nannies. My needs are met (praise Jesus) so I just left them to themselves and picked up a sport 😂.
