Once government claims the power to decide what speech is “responsible,” it claims sovereignty over conscience, thought, and moral agency. That is not freedom with responsibility. That is obedience with permission. Responsibility lies with the individual before God—not with bureaucrats before ideology. Speech may persuade, offend, or challenge, but it does not become violence simply because authority fears its consequences. Rights that come from the state can be taken by the state. Rights that come from God cannot—only violated. And history is very clear about what happens when governments forget that difference.

Regarding freedom of speech, I have heard just two intelligent ideas about it: 1.) It’s a God given right. So, nobody needs to listen to these clowns. 2.) rights are given, not taken. So, nobody needs to listen to these clowns.
