⚡️🇵🇱 NEW - Poland's FM Radosław Sikorski says the U.S. should not impose its free speech values on Europeans: "In the U.S., it's almost absolute... whereas in Europe, for good historical reasons... we believe in freedom of speech with responsibility."

With great power comes great (Responsible) freedom of speech🙄.
The core distinction they miss is this:
These rights are not granted by the state.
They are endowed by God.
That’s the difference.
When speech is treated as something the government may regulate “responsibly,” it is no longer a right—it is a revocable privilege. The American framework rejects that premise entirely. Our founders did not create free speech; they recognized it as pre-existing, inherent, and beyond the authority of rulers.
The state exists to protect natural rights, not redefine them.
Once government claims the power to decide what speech is “responsible,” it claims sovereignty over conscience, thought, and moral agency.
That is not freedom with responsibility.
That is obedience with permission.
Responsibility lies with the individual before God—not with bureaucrats before ideology. Speech may persuade, offend, or challenge, but it does not become violence simply because authority fears its consequences.
Rights that come from the state can be taken by the state.
Rights that come from God cannot—only violated.
And history is very clear about what happens when governments forget that difference.
Rights are responsibilities dumb dumb.
Also it's called freedom of religion. The freedom to express your moral and ethical reasoning... and to troll.
"Freedom of speech with responsibility" is just "freedom of speech with permission" wearing a nicer suit. Every regime that censored its people claimed good historical reasons too.
Yes otherwise Hitler will rise up from the grave and enslave Europe.
Regarding freedom of speech, I have heard just two intelligent ideas about it:
1.) It’s a God given right. So, nobody needs to listen to these clowns.
2.) rights are given, not taken. So, nobody needs to listen to these clowns.
So, rights are taken, not given... that's what i meant to write.
the first version started to sound like i am ready for the EU parliament 🤣 🤣
Well, if you call $1.5 billion (!) fine on Alex Jones or banning books from libraries "absolute free speech"... then okay
