The csam stuff is nonsense. It’s perfectly possible to embedd csam and other “illegal” content on chain in a bip444 compliant manner. Pretending that anything software based is always difficult is not being honest. It was difficult to use email at one point. It was difficult to use the internet at one point. Nothing software based will remain difficult for long. Changing consensus especially with the reactive method proposed is an attack on bitcoins immutability and it’s astonishing that people are even considering it over something like spam.
