A group's identity arises from internal commonalities and external perceptions of the enemy. This is why a collective cannot structurally establish genuine peace. An individual, on the other hand, interacts with others without this automatic boundary mechanism. Peace is a decision made by one person toward another. As soon as you place it in the hands of a collective, peace becomes a tool of power and harmony a pretext for conflict.
