I had an idea for a #nostrwatch so I made some. I gave one to @david , with a custom watchband made by @Leathermint - thinking that seeing a legit Freedom Tech dev wearing one would inspire more folks on nostr to scoop them up. Nostr isn’t a typical economy though, and I realized that after a little while. The folks here simply don’t move as a herd, and to a large extent thats by choice - we came here to get away from that behavior being reinforced and rewarded. Nostr is a group of smaller groups, and you’re NEVER speaking to “nostr” as a whole because there are many people who choose turn off the default relays to curate their feed. And with the advent of Web of Trust , many people are filtering through what they do see. I’m happy with the audience I’ve got at this point, and I think many of you feel the same way. There’s an opportunity to start businesses on Nostr, but you have to do the heavy lifting of making your stuff, advertising it, and shipping it. Ask @Oshi , @Leathermint , @SoapMiner , @BitBees etc. Not everyone can run a business because it’s extremely labor intensive. But let’s encourage those that CAN do it. Helping to advertise their stuff by posting reviews of it is a way to grow their popularity. Doing a good review costs you nothing, and gifting something from a Nostr business is ALWAYS a great idea. People that aren’t on Nostr really like the stuff we’ve got going on. Not everyone needs to be a daily poster. We’re a strong team made up of talented folks! #grownostr

Exactly. No need to show up every single day. Share what you have ready and personally stoked on sharing. Nostr is the place to do that

Exactly 💯 brother Running your own business is a 24/7 endeavor, for the most part. My typical day is getting up at 6am. (I know, I sleep in 😂) Having a few cups of coffee while watching whatever Bitcoin podcast that I haven't seen, and checking my setup, ( nodes, wallets, website, etc) to make sure they're running properly. Next, I see what orders I have to pack, and ship. Some days it's relatively simple, with just a few, and other days, it may take several hours. Next, I have to start working on replenishing my inventory, which can take another 6-8 hours, depending on what, and how much, I need to make. And don't forget, that in between all this, I have to run the marketing. Hopping on social media, and coming up with new schemes using guerilla marketing to expand. Don't get it wrong. I'm not bitching. I love doing this. I'm on a mission. I want the circular economy to expand, and for everyone to realize that Bitcoin needs to be used as a Medium of Exchange. Because that's how we win, imo. Giving me, or any other vendor, a shout out cost you 60 seconds. But, little by little, it expands the Bitcoin ecosystem, as well as expanding the need for Nostr as a free speech protocol. Didn't mean to be so loquacious, but this is dear to my 💜 Appreciate all of you on the same mission 🫡🫂
