I'm not really a Chevelle guy but I really like your setup. Did you paint match that headlight fascia or is that factory? Also you said Chevelle Malibu? What's the Malibu part?

Ooh baby. This is my first car. I got it and starting building it with my mom's boyfriend when I was 15. He told me when I was like 7 or so that he give me his Jaguar when I was old enough to drive. And when I was about 12 or 13 I was like "so in a couple years you're giving me the Jaguar right?" And he was like "uhhhh I'll get you a nice old muscle car you like" so I said a 1969 hemi barracuda. And he said he'll see what he could do. Originally it was white with a soft top. When I took off the vinyl it had spots rusted through where you could stick your fingers through. So we went to a junkyard and cut the top of another one and welded it to Vicki. I wanted it flat black with the gold stripe. As for the Malibu bit, it's just a body style for the Chevelle. Most people say one or the other, "it's a Malibu" "it's a Chevelle!" But technically it's both🤷🏽 I took off all the emblems though and should stop saying Malibu because I want to plug in a 454 and make it look like it's an SS🤷🏽
