As slowly as I can.
They just created a government agency with ultimate power over all other government agencies to root out corruption, with 0 elected officials and no oversight.
They made a few token sacrifices to the public of people who were already no longer politically expedient for their plans, so you are cheering them on.
I'm saying a government agency with ultimate power over all other government agencies to root out corruption, with 0 elected officials and no oversight has always been a key step in the process of turning a democracy into a dictatorship.
Not alarming at all from a guy who said at a campaign rally "Just vote for me one more time and you'll never have to vote again"
I'm not supporting any of the crimes that have been called out. I'm saying you still don't hate the government enough.

It all exists on a sliding scale. I'm an anarchist. If I'm going to be stuck under a government I'd like some sort of at least pretend feedback between the people and that government.
With DOGE the American people have no say at all, not even an illusion of say.
I keep saying it over and over, Trump is mortal and 78. Do you really want to give all that power away and blindly trust every leader that may come with it not knowing who or what party for the rest of you and your children's lifetimes?
Time preference isn't just about how you save your money. There is a way to cripple the government without a dictatorship in the middle, it is just slower. Given that 0% of dictatorships in history worked out well for the people, I think it is a stupid impatient gamble to risk one to end some corruption a little faster.
Bitcoin is here and ready to kill fiat. We just need to stay the course. If we end up under a dictatorship that executes bitcoiners, we aren't going to get the mass adoption we need to make it happen.
