Never touched tether crap. Not buying my coffee with onchain BTC, that's true. But most people and businesses I buy from still accept onchain.

What dilemma?
We use LN, where its available and it makes sense.
Up to 0.001 makes sense for me. Anything else fails for self-custody.
So basically LN for small payments. BTC onchain for big payments where I don't care about doxxing myself and Monero for everything else.
