Both Coldcard and Liquid marketed to Bitcoin maxis who dislike Monero. They weren't shy about that. You do yourself a disservice to ignore the events unfolding and specifically their relevance to Monero. This is intellectual honesty: You ignore it all and cast a silly net on people who like Monero to your own detriment.

Many people wanted to see privacy tech implemented in Bitcoin's base layer, Monero people included. Liquid was presented as an alternative: "we don't need privacy on the base layer and we sure as shit don't need Monero, we can have privacy in our federated sidechain instead." It's another Bitcoin maxi product built for Bitcoin maxis who want to avoid Monero. As a result, by pushing privacy out to a separate layer, code quality suffered and the protocol got hacked. Liquid is absolutely relevant to Monero. It's ignoring history to assume it isn't.

You basically completely ignored my points and say I'm engaging in bad faith. Look in a mirror. You have MDS and can't have a rational conversation. I will respond to your points regardless because you do sound curious underneath your attacks. The surveillance boogeyman isn't the only reason to like Monero. It's easy for regular people like your family members to use it without showing everyone how much they own, and without relying on a trusted 3rd party. Everyone acknowledges risk of bugs in Monero. Everyone acknowledges the risk of a potential hidden inflation bug in Monero. What you don't seem to understand is that this bug in Liquid was not that. It was much closer to Bitcoin's exploited inflation bug and was similarly caused by bad code. Not bad math.
